Personality: 
Kat is usually quiet and self reserved when she is alone or in a situation where she doesn't need to speak. But when engaging in a conversation with someone, one would realize that she is probably the biggest asshole they have ever met. Why? Well, Kat puts up a stand off-ish, "bad girl" type of attitude to make sure people dislike her. She acts like a jerk for a reason. The reason is deep and emotionally rooted. Thanks to a chain of tragic events that has happened in her past, she has convinced herself that as long as she has no one to care about, and no one to care for her, she will never have to feel the pain of losing someone important to her again. As a result from this mindset, Kat has become very emotionally numb, cold, and blunt. She pushes others away to insure that she "wont get hurt again". But despite her cold nature, Kat is quite the fiery spirit. She is passionate in everything she does and does not know when to quit trying. Once she is set on doing something she believes is right, then she is willing to crawl through Hell and back to complete it. She's as stubborn as a mule and as sharp as a knife. She's clever, sly, cunning, and intelligent. And believe it or not, under all her sharp edges, she has a sense of humor.
Flaws:
Kat is emotionally impaired. She can't comprehend how others feel, not unless she breaks down the brick wall that she built around herself. Though this makes her numb to insults and the way others see her, it only makes emotional contact Hell for her. Many times has she considered taking the easy way out and ending her life, but the thought of getting back at her arch nemesis is more attractive of a thought.
Kat suffers severely from a mental disorder called PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) which causes her to have bad night terrors and hallucinations from the events in her past. She's incredibly paranoid and always looking over her shoulder, always double checking to make sure she's safe. 
She tends to take things to the extreme, too. Sometimes, she just doesn't know when enough is enough, and goes /too far/. Her bluntness makes it difficult for her to understand that she can hurt people just by using a couple words. She can also be a bit naive at times, too.

Abilities:
Fire-bending (can control fire), telepathy, fast reflexes, decent survival skill set, Phoenix Curse
Phoenix Curse perks:
"Immortality" - the curse trapped inside Kat's necklace will revive her as long as she is wearing it when she dies

Eyes of the Phoenix - eyes turn a brilliant orange color with slitted pupils, this allows her to see in infrared light

War Bound - when Kat uses the curse's powers, it causes her nails and teeth to grow and sharpen, granting her additional weapons

Flaris' Gift - body becomes tougher and completely resistant to fire based attacks, becomes more resistant to cold, bones, skin and muscle tissue becomes much tougher, and her strength/stamina sky-rockets

Fire Wings - A pair of blazing phoenix wings sprout from her back, granting her the ability to fly

Flaris' Breath - grants her the ability to have absolute control over any flame, even fire being used by others (unless their magical influence over the flame is somehow stronger than the Curse's), fire temperature increases, can breathe fire, create massive explosions, fire storms, and can raise body temperature greatly

Weapons:
a hunting knife, steel horns on her boots, sharp teeth and nails if needed, fire
Fighting Style:
dodge and observe, wait for the moment to strike, rapid fire, fights dirty if she has to
Weaknesses:
can't use her fire magic under water, emotional manipulation, her lower back is incredibly sensitive thanks to getting her back burned up and ripped to shreds, can be disoriented or overwhelmed if she's around a lot of people due to her having issues controlling her telepathy
